Sheesh – Chigwell

Hi guys,

Haven’t blogged in a while now but I have LOADS of amazing restaurants to share with you guys! This blog is about Sheesh in Chigwell, one of my Favourite places to go! It’s just amazing!! This is a Turkish restaurant in Chigwell, a nice quiet area. The design is nice and elegant with amazing food and service to go with it and if your celeb hunting well I saw Jermaine Defoe (spurs footballer) there too! This place is owned (or has some connection with) Alan Sugar! Despite all the celeb faces we might see there and the beautiful environment, the main thing is the food and I have been there many times and I can tell you, it has never let me down! So sit back, and enjoy the pictures and have a look for yourself!

The place is Elegant and classy and perfect for a romantic night in. It even has a little romantic section, which is super cute! Also it has an upstairs with a dance floor and live music. I was lucky enough to get a tour of the whole place and saw every room! It also has a massive room to hire out for private parties too! Just amazing!!

YumYum – Thai Restaurant in Stoke Newington

Helloo…

Havent updated my blog in a while, busy with uni but I thought I’d share my new and recent experience of a Thai restaurant in Stoke Newington. I went on the website before I had my christmas lunch there, and it mentioned that the restaurant won many awards and I was intrigued to dine at this place. I have to say, the place did live up to the standard represented on their website! I LOVED it there!! My love for Thai food has grown ALOT over the last year or two, as before this I never was a big fan. This place I would highly recommend to anyone out for a nice meal. Read on to hear about my dining experience and check out the pictures too!

As you can tell from the above pictures, the place was very traditional and authentic. I did not experience the traditional ‘sitting on the floor’ experience, but I am going back to experience that, having a dress on and sitting on the floor wouldn’t have been ideal for me at the time! Overall, the place was beautiful. They also had a bar section, with comfortable seating and wonderful service. I couldn’t fault the service they had, as they were attentive.

Ok on to the food! Well, For all the muslims, you will be happy to hear that they are halal, which was good. ordered 3 starters between ourselves and I LOVED the starters. I’m more of a starters girl myself, maybe that’s why I love the little nibbles.

I do love my seafood, but I draw a line at mussels or squids! This starter consisted of prawns, squid, mussels and Scallops. I LOVED the prawns, and the scallops were pretty nice too, however, I didn’t have the other two, but from what my friend said, it was pretty good.

We also got, chicken balls and prawn and chicken toast. I loved both of these, as they tasted amazing, like I said, im a starter girl so maybe that’s why. But I will highly recommend these as they tasted lovely! The lady who served us was lovely and asked me if we would like some sauces with that, warning us that some of them are hot, after hearing that, I had to try it! Some were quite hot and others were mild and it went really well with the starters!

The main I ordered a Thai red curry with duck. The curry was amazing, but i took a risk with the duck and found out that I don’t really like duck! However, for duck lovers, this may be a good main for you.

Overall, the food was really good, and I couldn’t really fault them. the service was excellent and the atmosphere of the place was lovely!! I loved this place and cant wait to go there again. If you’re wondering what the price was like, well I believe the price is VERY good for the standard we get and I would say it cost 2 people around £50, considering we did get 3 starters. The price was very decent and even better, there is a car park right behind the place! Overall, I loved the place and I cant wait to go back there again to dine very soon!

Thank you for reading my blog! Hope you enjoyed it, check out a few other pictures below of the place and my experience. Dont forget to like or comment! 🙂

Gilgamesh – Camden Town

Nice palm trees within the Restaurant

Nice palm trees within the Restaurant

Went to Gilgamesh late september 2012 for a special event and i have to say it was one of the nicest places I have been to. The surrounding was lovely and different. It has many floors and has an amazing nightlife from what I could see from the website with famous people going there but I went there for lunch so couldnt explore that. Regardless of all that I had an amazing time and wish I took more pictures of the actual restaurant!

For my starter, I had prawns, because I LOVE prawns and usually get that. For the main I got a Thai curry and I have to say it was one of the BEST Thai curries I’ve had, and I’ve had a few different ones. It was so nice, I need to go there again just for that! Overall, the food was amazing. It is costly there, so do make sure its a special event but they do have a reasonable lunch menu so that’s good. The food is worth every penny and I would recommend anyone who wants to go there, to pop by into Camden and go there.

We also wanted dessert and my eyes saw ‘the worlds hottest menu’ and i knew i HAD to get the chilli sorbet! I had to experiment how hot it is. For me, it weren’t that hot for me, but my friend did find it slight hot! So be warned it can be hot! Overall, the sorbet, the mocktails and the atmosphere was really good and I would recommend it very highly. I had an amazing time and the food was amazing too!

The overall experience is amazing and i would recommend for you to go there as it is once a year and is wonderful and has many more things such as ice skating, circus and many more. The only down side is the price, as they are quite high but it is a once a year opportunity so it is worth it! Hope you like the pictures and let me know what you think of it if you do decide to go :).

Inamo Restaurant in london (St James)

The table. You can change the theme of the table as well.

The menu from the table!

More of the menu! I had a bit of a play with the menu on the table, i was quite fascinated! 😀

The chef cam! You can see the chefs cooking in the kitchen from your table! The photo isnt quite clear though.

The main i got… Thai fish curry! Yum Yum! 😀

Loved the cool little pots they came, so cool! not forgetting it tasted delicious!!

I went to this restaurant a few years ago but I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go back to it. The place is amazing. It is one the first restaurants I have been to where I was amazed. If you haven’t been there, then you need to go! I went there for a birthday lunch and the place just looked amazing, I wish I took more pictures of the place then because the actual restaurant is very nice. The tables were the menus as well and it was all electronic. It was quite cool!! no waiters needed, when your ready you click on the menu and order and then you can see the chef in the kitchen cooking. I got a prawn starter and mixed fish Thai curry. It was amazing, I was never a fan of Thai food but this totally changed my mind!!

I recommend this place if your out and about in london!! The Staff there were also very helpful with guiding us on how to use the menus as we were totally new to it! So they were wonderful too! Also the price wasnt too bad so that’s always a positive too! Love the place and the food, one of the nicest and unique Thai place I have been to.

Try it out.
